A Welshpool resident has been fined for leaving bags of rubbish by the side of a public bin in the town centre.
Powys County Council’s Waste & Recycling Service shared this picture taken in Welshpool as a warning to others that in doing so, an offence is caused and a fixed penalty notice can be issued.
“Leaving rubbish by a litter bin like this can still be seen as fly tipping,” they said. “We're clamping down on this misuse of street litter bins to help keep Wales tidy.”
