If you got excited about our very own Singing Farmer’s song ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ featuring on Disney+’s docuseries of the same name, then prepare yourself for Episode 7!

The programme features the journey taken by Hollywood A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they purchase Wrexham Football Club from a fans trust.

The first six episodes have gone down a storm worldwide, and today Episode 7 has been released with sheep farmer-cum-singer John Hughes making a brilliant appearance.

In a change of direction, the hilarious pair decide to take an in depth look at Wales as a country, featuring food, culture, history, language and, of course, sheep.

The pair then cut to John on his farm near Meifod who proudly states: “We’ve got more sheep in Wales than we’ve got people. A lot more sheep!”

In a hilarious 90-second segment, talented John goes on to explain that his father kept sheep, his grandfathers kept sheep, his great-great grandfather kept sheep and, “undoubtedly” his great-great-great grandfather kept sheep!

John is then filmed carrying out his work before grabbing one new born and, after checking it was a male, called it Ryan Reynolds.

In an Instagram post (pictured), the series’ award-winning producer John Henion urged followers to tune in and meet “one of my favourite human beings” in John.

John’s new found celebrity status won’t stop him though, and you can expect to see him performing at a local venue soon.
