05/09/2023 @ 12:02

With three stars from the hit 1980’s comedy ‘Allo ‘Allo set for the Welshpool 1940s Weekend later this month, we will tell you only once about an apt warm-up taking place this weekend.

Three episodes of the former favourite prime time show will be screened at The Methodist Church on Saturday from 3-5pm, and it’s free to attend.

“All are welcome for what will be a nice refresher to remember how funny the show was,” said 1940s organising Chairman, Alan Crowe who confirmed that refreshments will also be served at the interval.

Gruber, Helga & Herr Flick from ‘Allo, ‘Allo will be in Welshpool for the 1940s Weekend mixing with revellers, signing autographs and taking selfies on Saturday, September 30, and Sunday, October 1.

The show focused on the life of a French café owner in the town of Nouvion during the German occupation of France in the Second World War.

It is currently being repeated on several satellite and Freeview television channels, introducing the characters to a whole new generation of fans.

So, who will be coming to town?

Guy Domville Siner is an American-born English actor best known for his role as Lieutenant Huber Gruber. He also played Dr. Mittenhand in Leprechaun 4: In Space.

Kim Lesley Hartman is an English actress, best known for her role as Private Helga Greehart. She has also appeared in Casualty, The Brittas Empire and Grange Hill. She is also an established stage actor and has appeared on a number of radio plays.

Richard Gibson is an English actor, best known for his role as the archetypal Gestapo Officer Herr Otto Flick. He has also played a wide variety of roles on stage and the TV screen.
