A drugs farm with a “large quantity of cannabis plants” has been discovered in Welshpool town centre following a Monday night police raid.
Specialist officers from Dyfed-Powys Police proactive drugs team executed a warrant at the property in Welshpool.
Readers reported a huge amount of police activity with up to five vehicles spotted outside the former HSBC building on The Cross, with a number of plain clothes officers working alongside uniformed police.
“A large quantity of cannabis plants has been seized,” a police spokesperson told us. “The building was in a dangerous condition and Scottish Power have been called to assist.”
The force has not confirmed whether arrests were made.
