Welshpool police appeal after Oldford knife incident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was reportedly arrested yesterday on a Welshpool housing estate.

Officers attended Sgwar Heulwen in the Oldford area of town at 8.40am following reports of a woman carrying a knife in the street.

“The woman was found at her home address, and was arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing a bladed article in a public place,” a spokesperson said.

“Enquiries are being carried out, and officers are asking anyone with information or video footage of the incident to get in touch.”
