Tourism leaders to meet local business

Created on 02/11/2011 @ 15:30

Tourism leaders have sent an open invitation for local businesses to meet with them during an roadshow in town next week.
Mid Wales Tourism (MWT) is teaming up with the Welsh Language Board, business support teams from local authorities, Coleg Powys and Powys County Council’s sustainable tourism support officer Laura Thomas to hold a trade day at Coed y Dinas on November 11.
Individual businesses are invited to pre-book one to one training sessions on the Guestlink Cymru online accommodation booking service and e-commerce opportunities between 9.30am and 10.45am and 2pm to 4pm.
Presentations by MWT’s chief executive Val Hawkins and other guest speakers will be between 11am and 1pm. On the agenda will be regional marketing activity, political lobbying, a tourism news update, making the most of membership and a Guestlink update.
MWT provides a range of services to help members develop and market their businesses, whilst also giving them access to exclusive membership discounts.
Anyone planning to attend or wishing to take advantage of the one-to-one advice sessions is asked to contact Lynda Crunkhorn at MWT on Tel: 01654 702653 or by email at
