A man from the Birmingham area has been charged with robbery after the victim’s family had posted details of the incident to social media following the terrifying ordeal.
David Mihai, aged 33, and from the Birmingham area, has been charged with robbery, driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with licence and use of motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance.
Police received a report that while the male victim was unloading shopping from his car at his Montgomery home, a man pushed him towards the boot and stole his watch.
The victim’s family praised police for their immediate response in their social media post, claiming that the victim had been followed home after shopping in Welshpool's Tesco on the afternoon of Thursday, August 7.
Following police enquiries Mr Mihai was quickly arrested and charged.
He appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Saturday, and was remanded in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court today.
