The driver of a vehicle which ran over a former Welshpool man at Cound has never been found an inquest has heard.
Coroner John Ellery delivered a narrative verdict into the death of 36 year old Dale McNamee of Harmer Hill, Shrewsbury.
The inquest heard that Mr McNamee was seen lying in the road alive minutes before paramedics arrived at 4.26am.
The coroner said he could not deliver an accidental death verdict because there was no account from the driver of the vehicle, believed to be a red van, which did not stop.
Our picture was the last sighting of Mr McNamee on the night before his death.
