Musclemen raise £440 for Brooke, new class

Created on 04/11/2012 @ 10:55

Welshpool’s first strongman competition proved a huge hit at The Armoury, with the musclemen raising £440 towards  rooke McMahon, the Welshpool five-year-old fighting cancer.

Strongmen came from across the UK and took on the best of the local talent for a memorable day. The powerlifting event was won by local lad Stephen Lewis.

“It was a great day,” said The Armoury’s Chris Greatorex. “Thanks to Mario for his organisation and of course to the sponsors for their support. We still have a collection box at The Armoury and hope to push it to £500 for Brooke."

Meanwhile, The Armoury is introducing a new class this Tuesday and you can expect some style!

Nikki, of Nikki Boutiques, is launching an aerobics/combat weekly class from 6-7pm and it will be half price at £2 for this opening Tuesday. There is a maximum of 35 allowed and it is booking up fast. Ring 01938 554143 to book a spot.
