Invertek launches recruitment drive

10/04/2014 @ 07:48

Electronics specialist, Invertek Drives, is currently recruiting Assembly and Logistics Operatives to work on flexible basis at its Welshpool operation.

Invertek has experienced rapid growth following significant success in export markets and the company is now seeking to build a bank of up to 10 people that can be called upon to assist with production during particularly busy periods.

Production Manager, Jason Bailey, said: “Due to the nature of our business, our staffing requirements can change from month to month. We are interested in hearing from people who are looking for flexible employment opportunities – typically short term contracts of between five and 10 days at times when we need extra support.”

The company offers paid pre-training to ‘Invertek Technician’ standard which qualifies candidates for attractive production related bonuses - including those on part-time contracts.

Mr Bailey added: “Short term contracts are offered on a voluntary basis - we understand that people may have prior commitments, which is why we’d like to develop a pool of skilled technicians that we can call upon when we need them.

“We recognise that some people are looking for flexible opportunities that suit their individual circumstances – if this is you, please get in touch!”

Invertek has experienced substantial growth in recent years and with more than 150 employees at its Welshpool headquarters, it is now one of the largest employers in the town. The company has invested significantly in its infrastructure to maximise productivity.

The independently owned company recently opened a brand new ‘Express Centre’ in Buttington Cross to help meet growing global demand for its products which are used to control the speed of electric motors for industrial automation and energy saving applications in a wide range of industries. Invertek currently exports its products to more than 80 countries worldwide and has ambitious expansion plans for the future.

Meanwhile, a forklift driver is needed for Trederwen Springs, a fast paced automated bottling factory in Llansanffraid.

The driver must have good experience driving counterbalance forklifts and preferably an up to date licence but this is not essential. It is a six-month temporary contract which could become permanent and offers an above national minimum wage. To apply, send a CV and covering letter to daverippon@trederwensprings.co.uk.
