Montgomeryshire Liberal Democrat AM Mick Bates will be back in court this morning to hear the verdict at the end of his six-day trial.
Bates has denied three counts of common assault by beating and three public order offences. He is charged with assaulting two paramedics, Carl Jones and Darren Noble, and one nurse, Clare Morris.
He is also accused of using abusive and using insulting words to cause alarm and/or distress at Charleston Steak House on a night out in Cardiff, in the back of an ambulance and at the University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff.
Bates’ defence solicitor has claimed that he was suffering from a condition called automatism at the time of the incident..
