Donations roll in as Hub confirms Festive timings

The Welshpool Mayor has received another welcome donation towards the running costs of the Hub at the Town Hall which continues to grow in popularity.

Started last year at the Town Hall to help people cope with the rising energy costs, the Hub has continued throughout the summer and autumn as residents have come to recognise it as a meeting place with a chance for people to come together.

This week, Cllr Nick Howells received a cheque for £150 from Teresa Jones, Chair of the Guilsfield Singers.

“The donation is hugely appreciated, as are all donations that enable us to help others,” said Cllr. Howells.

“Feel free to join us at the Hub, a warm welcome awaits and our baked potatoes with cheese and beans are getting ever more popular.”

Meanwhile, the Hub opening times for the coming weeks are as follows:

Thursday, December 14, 10am-2pm

Tuesday, December 19, 10am-2pm

Thursday, December 21, 10am-2pm

It will then be closed for Christmas, but re-open on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 10am-2pm.
