Monty coffee morning for Nadia’s marathon effort

A Montgomery woman will be running the London Marathon on April 21, but it’s a coffee morning fundraiser first in the town this Saturday.

Nadia Ionescu-Blower, 30, is running for the NSPCC and is well on her way to a target of £2,200, but she will be returning to her native Montgomery this weekend from her London base to give her fundraising efforts a boost.

A fun runner in previous events, Nadia is hoping to complete the marathon in around four hours and has been training through the winter months in preparation for the 42.2km foot race through the streets of London.

Her coffee morning will take place from 9am on Saturday in Montgomery Town Hall.
