‘We are in desperate need of foster parents’

A Welshpool town and county councillor has made an impassioned plea for potential foster parents to step forward and help to address a drastic shortage.

Cllr Carol Robinson has helped to bring an Information Event to Welshpool tomorrow (Thursday) that will provide plenty of information for anyone who feels they can help.

“We are in desperate need for more foster parents, not just in Welshpool but across Powys,” said Cllr Robinson.

“I urge anyone that feels they can provide the love and protection to a young person that hasn’t been fortunate to have the best of starts in life to come down.

“There is no commitment, the team will be there for an informal chat, along with other foster parents who can answer any questions you may have.”
