Morrisons to “look into” staff claims after burst pipe

Morrisons said it will look into claims that staff were made to work today without any running water or toilets following a burst waterpipe last night.

MyWelshpool was contacted anonymously this morning by someone claiming to be a member of staff that was told to work with “no heating, no running cold or hot water and no toilets at all”.

We put the claims to Morrisons who told us this evening that they would look into the claims but in the meantime explained: “Yesterday evening our Welshpool store sadly experienced a burst waterpipe and the store was temporarily closed whilst repairs were made.

“We can confirm that the store was back open this morning including the café and market street counters.”
