School’s fishy crisp packet challenge

Pupils from one local school have taken recycling to the next level, and enlisted a fishy friend to help out.

Ysgol Meifod challenged children to ensure crisp packets do not end up in landfill by asking them to deposit into a new giant fish in the playground instead.

The iron fish is on loan from The Ironworks, Oswestry, and the aim is to collect enough packets to be forwarded to charitable organisations who will make into survival blankets for the homeless.
