Calypso theme to Welshpool Carnival

Organisers of Welshpool Carnival have revealed that the annual event will be moving to a Calypso beat next month!

The Caribbean-themed Carnival will be held on Sunday, June 23, with the town set to welcome a parade from 12 midday, leaving from Berriew Street Car Park, heading around the town centre and towards Maes-y-dre fields.

There will be plenty of fun activities at the carnival fields, where it is free entry for all, so an open invitation has been offered, by Welshpool Town Council, for the whole area to attend.

There are still opportunities to get involved, and anyone who wants to join the parade or book a stall at the Festival fields should contact kimberly@welshpooltowncouncil.gov.uk.
