Welshpool Cricket Club is hoping the town will back the return of the Welshpool Music Festival today (Sunday), which will raise vital funds for the club.
Bands will be playing at the Maesydre Recreation Field from 1pm-11pm, with an outside stage accompanied by an inside acoustic stage providing entertainment throughout the day.
As well as a licensed bar there will be a variety of food stalls to help keep revellers fuelled throughout the festival which returns for the first time since 2018.
Welshpool Cricket Club Chairman, Russell Cadwallader, said: “We are really excited about this event.
“We have a wonderful venue and have long thought that it would be ideal for such an occasion.
“When given the opportunity to work with Welshpool Music Festival we jumped at it, as they have a successful track record and they have not let us down with the line-up of performers they have assembled.
“Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and people will support this free event.”
Rockers BC/DC are the headline act, but there is a wide variety of music tastes that will be catered for throughout the day.
