In what organisers describe as the “ultimate Christmas Party”, Welshpool will host a big night out at the Town Hall next week.
The Shakers, famous for performing on Sundays at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, will headline on Saturday, December 14 from 8pm, with doors opening at 7pm.
Party goers will take a trip back in time to the sounds of the 60s and 70s along with a bar, and raffle to raise more funds for the Welshpool 1840s Weekend, a Falklands War memorial bench and the ENSA memorial appeal.
Special guest star will be Terry Webb, former frontman of hit recording stars Candlewick Green and the lead vocal on their No1 hit Who Do You Think That You Are?
Popular award-winning vocal quartet, The Ronnies, will add a touch of glamour to the stage and the evening will also feature guitar vocalist, Paul Keenan.
Tickets are £17.50 in advance or £20 on the door. They are available from Welshpool Jewellers, Hardy’s Bookstore and Riffels or online at https://www.jumblebee.co.uk/christmascracker1.
