Welshpool Carnival to ‘showcase local talent’

Welshpool Carnival will be adding a festival flavour to the bill this year, with a call for local acts to perform throughout the day on Sunday, June 22.

At last night’s Town Council Events and Tourism Committee meeting, councillors were told that a number of acts had already come forward to perform, with 20-minute slots available from 1pm-5pm.

“We’ve received some interest already,” said Town Clerk, Richard Williams. “It will be fantastic to showcase Welshpool talent.”

Councillors also agreed to add a balloon modeller and face painter to the day’s activities.
