Nominations open for Town Council election

An election could be held next month for a new councillor to serve on Welshpool Town Council.

Notification has been published for nominations to fill a vacant seat on the Llanerchyddol Ward, with applications needing to be submitted by 4pm on July 23.

If more than one person is interested, an election will take place in the town on Tuesday, August 19.

Nomination papers may be obtained from the Returning Officer via electoral.services@powys.gov.uk.
