Residents in Welshpool are being asked to help to shape the future of the town.
The Town Council has launched a public consultation to help produce its Interim Strategic Plan for the period 2025 to 2028 - and is calling on local residents to have their say.
The council is asking people to share their views on the range of local services it currently provides, such as the Town Hall, public toilets, recreation areas, events, Meals on Wheels, and more.
Residents are also being asked to consider how these services are funded, whether they offer value for money, and what the council should prioritise for future investment or improvement.
The Town Council said that the consultation is “part of our efforts to plan responsibly and transparently amid rising costs, limited income, and the potential for taking on additional responsibilities from Powys County Council”.
The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete and is open until August 31, 2025. Responses will feed directly into a new Interim Strategic Plan, due to be finalised and adopted by the end of September.
Residents can take part online at www.welshpooltowncouncil.gov.uk/consultation.
Paper copies of the survey are also available at the Tourist Information Centre.
