Book lovers and children are in for a treat this weekend when the COWSHACC (pictured) hosts the Welshpool Author and Book Fest on Saturday and Sunday.
The weekend is being organised by the town’s Hardy’s Bookstore and features several events that are open to various ages under the banner of ‘Worlds of Fantasy and Beyond’.
Saturday’s events are family orientated with an Alice in Wonderland Tea Party featuring Games, Arts and Crafts in the morning and a World of Fantasy-themed afternoon featuring an exhibition of Fantasy and Sci-fi worlds, books and authors. It will also include guest speaker, writer, Jasper Fforde.
Sunday features the pre-launch of ‘The Welshpool Book’, with guest speaker David Stephenson, local historian, talking about his latest book Heirs to the Princes.
There will also be a talk by Eurwyn Pierce Jones about his latest translation of Y Cylch Brith (Sherlock Holmes and The Speckled Band).
