Another local town’s lights to go on Friday

It was a memorable evening in Welshpool on Saturday with hundreds of people packing the town centre to watch the Christmas Lights get switched on.

And to keep the Christmas momentum going, Llanfair Caereinion has announced that their lights will go on this Friday with celebrations starting at 6.15pm in the Market Square.

There will be Micky Mouse, the Castle Belles, a procession with Santa all under the watchful eye of compere David Salter.

Afterwards, at 7pm, the Institute will host a children’s entertainer, Santa, stalls, raffle and cafe.

“Visit Santa who has some small gifts to give to children (free). All are welcome,” the Town Council stated.
