Welshpool Town Council has launched a new digital system which they say will make it easier for residents to stay informed and involved in local planning matters.
The system, developed as part of the Council’s Interim Strategic Plan 2025–2028 under the action CO1: Improve communication, transparency and accountability, will automatically publish details of upcoming planning applications due to be considered by the Council.
Planning applications scheduled for discussion at council or committee meetings will be automatically shared through the Council’s social media channels.
The same information will also appear on the Council’s website (www.welshpooltowncouncil.gov.uk/planning).
“This new approach ensures that residents receive timely, accessible updates and have the opportunity to understand, follow and engage with planning matters affecting the town,” said a spokesperson.
