School’s Christmas celebration

Leighton was full of festive spirit this week when the community supported the primary school’s annual carol concert at the local church.

The whole school walked together through the village in their nativity costumes, led by Santa in his festive tractor with Joseph and Mary, who was riding her Christmas pony much to the delight of onlookers.

The children were joined by their families and members of the local community under the lychgate to sing a selection of much-loved carols.

“The school would like to thank everyone who supported the event and helped make it such a special and memorable occasion, reflecting the strong community spirit at the heart of Leighton CP School,” said a spokesperson.
