Llanfyllin was awash with colour as the Coed Y Cain mountain bike trails at Ysgol Llanfyllin hosted their first-ever public event – and it was a colourful occasion!
Organised by the Llanfyllin Community Initiative, the day featured a vibrant fancy dress biking session that brought together riders of all ages and skill levels.
The event saw a massive turnout of children and parents, with the woodland tracks filled with a creative array of costumes, ranging from farm animals to popular cartoon characters. Adding to the excitement, professional MTB stars Vero Sandler and Sam Hodgson, who are also members of Llanfyllin Community Initiative Committee, and Kaos Seagrave joined the crowds to share laps, laughs, and tips with the local community.
The sunny weather provided the perfect backdrop for the festivities, while Vero and Sam generously donated prizes for every participant, ensuring every young rider went home a winner.
Following the success of this inaugural session, the community is already looking forward to more events at the school’s mountain bike site in the near future.
Mark Prust, Committee Chair, said: “Today has been an amazing success and I am already looking forward to the next Family Fun Day. We are so lucky to have Professional MTB stars living in our Community and getting involved.”
