Ysgol Bro Caereinion has taken its fund raising from its Byw mewn Lliw - Live in Colour Day beyond £45,000 after another successful 16th edition at the school.

The event supports charities that are close to their heart, bringing the community together to remember, support and celebrate.

This year’s Live in Colour Day in July was held despite the heat and it was a truly memorable day.

From the Sixth Form students and dedicated staff to the Friends of the School, parents and, of course, the pupils, everyone played their part in making the day such a success, with smiles on faces throughout.

The atmosphere was fantastic, with everyone dressed in bright colours, covered in face paint and glitter and having lots of fun while supporting this year Latch, the children’s cancer charity; Credu, a charity that supports young carers; and Bro Caereinion School, helping to provide additional opportunities and experiences for pupils.

So far, this year raised over £2,000, and there is still time to donate through their Just Giving page if you would like to support these wonderful causes.

“We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported this year’s event,” the school said in a statement.

“A special thank-you goes to Ysgol Cwm Banwy for taking part and supporting us once again this year – your enthusiasm and continued support are greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank all our pupils, staff, parents and members of the community for your generosity and ongoing support.”
