Appeal for info following last week's Newtown's NatWest incident

Police are appealing for information after an attempted break-in at a bank in Newtown town centre last week.

Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating after damage was caused to the entrance doors of the NatWest on Broad Street.

Officers said a suspect had attempted to gain access to the building.

Police received a report of the incident at around 8.30am on Thursday, September 3.

In an appeal for information, Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Damage was caused to the entrance doors, where the suspect has attempted to gain access.

“After following other lines of enquiry, we are now appealing to the public for help.”
