Despite several failed attempts in the past, Welshpool is set to launch a new Business Forum under the guidance of the Town Council as part of its Visit Welshpool drive to boost tourism and trade.
Local business owners and representatives are invited to attend the Welshpool Business Forum, which will take place at the town’s Royal Oak Hotel on Tuesday, September 29, from 5.30pm.
The forum will provide an opportunity for businesses from across the town and surrounding area to come together, network with one another, and hear about initiatives and developments that could have a positive impact on the local economy.
The Forum comes with fresh ideas following the launch of a new Visit Welshpool initiative, which will be presented on the evening to outline its current work to promote the town as a visitor destination and support local businesses.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to discuss plans surrounding the Tour de France Grand Départ and consider the opportunities that the event could bring to Welshpool through increased visitor numbers, greater exposure for local businesses, and wider economic activity.
Welshpool Town Council hopes the forum will encourage collaboration between businesses and stakeholders while providing an opportunity to share ideas and explore ways of supporting the continued prosperity and growth of the town.
Richard Williams, Town Clerk, Welshpool Town Council, said: “The Business Forum is an important opportunity for local businesses to come together, exchange ideas and hear about developments that could benefit Welshpool. We look forward to discussing opportunities that can help strengthen our local business community and support future growth.”
Businesses wishing to attend are encouraged to confirm their attendance in advance.
