Properties, land up for auction

Properties, land and woodland located across Shropshire, Worcestershire, Cheshire and Mid Wales will be going under the hammer an auction in Shrewsbury next month.

Leading regional auctioneers and estate agents Halls have a range of properties for modernisation and renovation on offer in the 16-lot auction on Friday, May 1 at 2pm.

The Mid Wales properties listed include Wigwam, Ynyslas, Borth, a detached, timber framed, bungalow on a 0.44-acre plot overlooking Borth & Ynyslas Golf Course and 100 metres from the beach (£150,000 to £170,000) and 2, Penyffridd, Pont Robert, Meifod (pictured), a one bedroomed cottage with two paddocks of around one acre (£125,000 to £150,000).

At Llawnt, near Oswestry, around 11.16 acres of mixed broadleaf woodland on the site of a disused quarry and Grade II Listed limekilns has guide price of £40,000 to £45,000, while 4.1 acres of grassland at Railway Meadow, Maesbrook, Oswestry is valued at £35,000 to £40,000.

Elsewhere across the border, the properties include 5, Upper Linney, Ludlow, a Grade II Listed, four bedroomed townhouse with fantastic views over the popular South Shropshire town, which has a guide price of £200,000 to £225,000.

Two disused places of worship with conversion potential, subject to planning consent, will also be sold. Bettisfield Methodist Church, Cadney Lane, Bettisfield, near Whitchurch and Blackford Methodist Chapel, Thorn Lane, Stoke Street, Milborough near Ludlow carry guide prices of £30,000 to £40,000 and £10,000 to £20,000, respectively.

Other auction properties include 12, Copelea, Cheswardine, near Market Drayton, a three bedroomed, semi-detached house (£130,000 to £150,000), Conway, Hereford Road, Bayston Hill, near Shrewsbury, a three bedroomed, detached house (£125,000 to £150,000), The Drumble, Moreton Say, Market Drayton, a three bedroomed, semi-detached house (£120,000 to £140,000), 16, Kings Avenue, Market Drayton, a four-bedroomed, mid-terrace house (£120,000 to £140,000), Lodge Park, Shawbury, a semi-detached, two-bedroom bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac (£75,000 to £95,000) and 42, Upper Church Street, Oswestry, a two-bedroom mid-terraced house (£70,000 to £80,000).

In Cheshire, The Cottage, High Street, Malpas, a shop with a split level, two bedroomed apartment (£100,000 to £125,000), while in Worcestershire, there is 82, Castle Road, Kidderminster, a three bedroomed, detached house (£75,000).

A mixed residential and commercial property, 12, 12A & 12B Market Street, Craven Arms comprises a ground floor lock-up shop and two self-contained residential flats (£90,000 to £110,000).
