Rally Forum will be final event

Tickets have been selling really well for the Mid Wales Rally Forum on January 6, 2018 when the organisers will top £100,000 raised for charity.

And there will be a star-studded line-up of guests at the 2018 forum at The Hafren in Newtown, which will be the last one.

The original idea was to raise some money for the local Air Ambulance. Each time a target was set it was beaten and £99,000 has already been handed to local charities.

This year’s charities are the Air Ambulance and Brecon Mountain Rescue, who were heavily involved in the search for a local young man at the Royal Welsh show.     

Guests include Stuart Turner former rally team manager for BMC and Ford, Dave Richards Prodrive supremo and 1981 World Rally championship co driver, Elfyn Evans, 2017 Wales Rally GB winner plus Gwyndaf Evans and Dai Llewllin, both former British Rally champions.

Also attending will be Malcolm Wilson, the team manager of the 2017 World Rally Championship manufacturer and  drivers championships M Sport, as will the 2003 World Rally Champion driver and twice World Rally X driver,  Petter Solberg.
