Derby win for Welshpool

Welshpool won the local derby at Berriew today to stay clear at the top of the Spar Mid Wales League.

Second half strikes from Will Thomas and Adam Davies gave Pool the points as they converted opportunities created by man of the match Sam Evans in a closely fought affair. Llanrhaeadr stayed in touch by beating Llanfair 5-1.

Luke Sherbon netted a first half hattrick at Guilsfield in the Huws Gray Alliance but the home side still led 4-3 at the break thanks to goals from Cook, Hamilton, Ford and James an that's how it stayed to the final whistle.
