Boost ahead of Shield final
Coach Dave Roberts has u-turned on his decision to step aside, and will lead the rejuvenated club into a new season, looking to build on a tremendous run of form that culminates in tomorrow’s Mid Wales Shield final against Builth Wells 2nds at Llanidloes (1pm).
“The undeniable improvements in performance and results over the last few years have in large part come from our consistent coaching team, led by Dave Roberts,” said a club statement.
“They have generated and nurtured a solid, committed and developing group of players, who have impressed throughout the season.
“We’re very happy and lucky that Dave’s agreed to stay on at Welshpool RFC, as Head Coach, with club stalwart Allan Tudor assisting.”
