A new rising sporting star has popped onto the MyWelshpool radar this week following her brilliant debut for Wales U16s football team.
Bella Roberts is a pupil at Welshpool High School and was selected to play for the year above her age group last week in a tournament in the Netherlands where she played against the host nation and Belgium.
Bella is the daughter of Welshpool Town Chair, Chris, and Ceri Roberts, and the high school describe her as “a great role model”.
It has been a tremendous rise through the ranks for the youngster after coming through the Welshpool girls’ set-up and attending Newtown development from Under 6 through to 12 when her talent was spotted by Wrexham.
She stepped up again after being selected to join the North Wales Regional Academy where she now trains five days a week at Colliers Park in Wrexham.
