Title favourites, Nant Conwy, are the Friday night visitors to Maesydre and will provide a massive challenge for bottom club Welshpool, writes Gary Williams.
The game was due to be played at Nant Conwy on Saturday but they requested a switch of venue so that they could travel south after Friday’s match to watch their second team (Teirw Nant) in cup action in South Wales on Saturday.
Pool, smarting from last week’s 80-14 defeat at Colwyn Bay, will be desperate to improve on that scoreline as the first half of the season draws to a close.
On Saturday, in Division One North, COBRA host Bethesda in Meifod (2.30pm) while their second team play Tondu 2nds in the WRU Division 5 Cup (2pm), also in Meifod.
Newtown, riding high in Division Two North, despite having to travel north, will expect to come home with the points against lowly Abergele, who had 90+ points scored against them last week at Mold.
Also, in Two North, Llanidloes will be looking for some much-needed points as they host Dolgellau.
Machynlleth face the daunting prospect of a visit to league leaders Mold.
On Sunday, Llanidloes Ladies welcome Tycroes Ladies to Cae Hafren as they look to progress to the last eight in the WRU Women's Bowl competition.
COBRA Ladies hosting Tondu Ladies in the same competition has unfortunately been postponed due to Tondu being unable to field a team.
