Darts players to compete for £800 top prize

A tournament created last year in memory of one of the town’s top darts players has already attracted a bumper entry vying for the £800 top prize.

The Keith Gamble Memorial Welshpool Open will be held on May 9 at Molto Nightclub & Venue will be run as a straight knockout tournament with a ‘first-round losers’.

Well over 100 entries have already come in, making this edition the largest darts tournament ever hosted in Welshpool.

All profits will be split between Welshpool & District Darts League and the chosen charity of Keith’s son, Jon.
