New Venture for two young mums

Two young Welshpool mums have launched a new business to go alongside caring for their small children.

Oh So Silver was established in August 2010 when Rebecca Leighton and Shonah Dowler-Joyce, decided to start working together.

They spent many mornings deliberating over a pot of tea in the Royal Oak what type business to start and how could they fit  working around caring for their small children?

As they both have a passion for well designed silver jewellery, 'Oh So Silver' was the perfect solution. They could add to their own jewellery box and hopefully make some profit in the process!

They spent a few months trying out suppliers and they finally found two UK based companies that inspired them.

Tiangus Jackson, established in 1993, have a diverse range and bring the very best in mexican silver to the UK. Peace of Mind are also a well established company designing silver jewellery that is stylish, versatile and delicately hand crafted to provide individual self expression.

They are also supporting a local businesswoman in Welshpool, Ruth Trice, who makes her own sterling silver jewellery.

Oh So Silver also supports local charitable events where it can. It supported a local MacMillan coffee morning in Meifod at the end of last  year and is supporting local girl, Emma Wilde's, fund-raising for the  Alzheimer's Society by selling items at organised events and donating a percentage from Oh So Silver profits.

The jewellery is sold via jewellery shows, charitable events & craft shows and by in-house parties where Rebecca and Shonah will bring the jewellery to life, where guests can  have fun with their friends and try on the jewellery and find that special piece.

All in a relaxed atmosphere with good friends, and plenty of laughter! And a glass of pimms if they're lucky!

The hostess of the party will recieve a commission of total sales of the evening as a thank you, which can be spent on the collection.

Oh So Silver sells a range of contemporary sterling silver jewellery with prices starting at £8.50 and changes it's range of jewellery seasonally. The range contains pieces with varied finishes brushed, hammered and oxidised pieces.

To view the stunning range of Contemporary designs there is a Facebook page and there will also be a website to follow in the coming months ohsosilver.co.uk

Please contact Rebecca on 07525 831427 or Shonah on 07813 131387 email ohsosilver@fsmail.net for more information on booking an Oh So Silver party and how you can  get your own stylish piece of silver jewellery today.
