Administrative Accounts Assistant


Full-time  -  (Hours can be flexible for the right candidate)

Due to the rapid expansion of our business, we are seeking an enthusiastic person to join our team in our small finance office in Welshpool.  It is essential the applicant should have a good working knowledge of Sage 50 accounts and at least a basic knowledge of double entry book-keeping.  AAT qualification at any level would be an advantage.  The applicant will support the Financial Director on a day to day basis.  Good communication skills and a pleasant nature when dealing with customer and supplier queries on the telephone.  The applicant should be able to manage own work flow and use their own initiative to accomplish tasks.

Main responsibilities

Answering the telephone and dealing with customer & supplier enquires.

Processing supplier invoices and credit notes.

Credit control – Emailing statements and contacting overdue customers for payment.

Processing and reconciling the company bank accounts.

Updating and monitoring our internal administration system.

Assisting with other accounting related tasks.

Opportunity for the position to develop as the company grows further.

Salary will be £18 - £20k depending on accounting experience.
