Record week for mywelshpool!

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

It was an landmark week for mywelshpool as hits went through the roof thanks to a record number of visitors logging on from Monday to Friday.

We averaged over 1,000 IP addresses logging on to the site each week day with only Wednesday dipping below the four-figure mark with 944 logging on.

These are incredible statistics when you take into account that several computers can use the same IP address and many computers – especially in households – have more than one user. It translates into thousands of local residents logging on for news as it happens. And, as we always promise, it's completely free!

Our sister site www.mynewtown.co.uk is also picking up nicely. February represented a 25 per cent rise in traffic from the month before and it continues to improve week-on-week.

Our Facebook Group has nearly reached the 2,000 member mark and our Twitter followers increase by the day.

When we launched back in August, the intention was to bring something fresh and new to the community and we have been blown away by the remarkable response from you.

We have picked up plenty of friends along the way and enjoy the backing and confidence of a growing band of local businesses who are reaching out to their next customer through the site. All we ask is that you browse through some of our advertisers when you have a minute as their support ensures that the site survives to provide a free community news service to you 24 hours a day.

In the meantime, if you have a story or want to enquire about advertising, contact us on editor@mywelshpool.co.uk.

Thank-you for your support.
