PRIME LAMBS (4842)

A larger number of lambs forward sold to an average of 170.41ppkg, which would be as a result of a improved trade for all weights. Yet again better quality, better meated lambs found the best trade and the biggest improvement in price. Leaner type lambs again more difficult to sell and as stated in previous weeks these would be better sold in the stores. If you took the price for leaner lambs out of the averages the overall price would be closer to 180ppkg.
