Free wi-fi to be discussed tonight

An open forum for local businesses will tonight (Monday) have their chance to discuss a proposal to offer free wi-fi across the town centre to entice more visitors.

The suggestion will be tabled at the monthly meeting for the Welshpool Business Forum, with other items on the agenda including Welshpool In Bloom, CCTV, shop window competitions, transport, one-way update and the Great British High Street Awards.

There will also be an update on the vacant premises in the town centre and any actions that need to be undertaken through the summer.

The meeting takes place at 6pm in the Town Hall’s Assembly Room with all businesses invited to attend.
