5th birthday for Abacare

Staff at a care provider in Powys are celebrating reaching five years of successfully delivering the main care contract in the county.

Abacare, which won the contract to provide care services for Powys County Council in 2014, has an office in Newtown and employs 600 people across the area.

Peter Angelides, Managing Director of the multi award-winning Abacare, said: “What a fantastic five years we have had in Powys. It has been hugely successful, and our dedicated staff have delivered an extremely high standard of care in the area.

“During the last five years we have worked closely with Powys County Council and the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to maintain and improve standards of care across Wales.We’re now an industry leader and are growing as a team all the time.

“We’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all our hardworking staff and carers as we wouldn’t be where we are today without them. It has been a joy to see the company grow year on year and we’re now looking forward to marking the 10-year milestone.”
