Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Warehouse

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager

Location: Welshpool

Grade: £25,000pa

Hours: Permanent / Day shift

Job Profile

Assist the Warehouse Manager with organizing the day-to-day warehouse operations. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·         Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, and ensure they are understood and practiced by the team at all times

·         Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods

·         Adhere to Warehouse key performance indicators 

·         Supervise order picking, goods-in and goods-out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage

·         Check and maintain Warehouse records

·         Liaise with all logistics partners and maintain good working relationships 

·         Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in-line with the WMS and ensure all stock movements are recorded

·         Maintain a high level of communication with various internal departments

·         Prepare dispatch documents and other related paperwork

·         Organise and book transport in a cost effective manner

·         Any other reasonable management requests 

Additional Duties:

·         Driving forklift lift truck as required

·         Attend daily meetings as required

·         Cover for Warehouse Manager when required with all associated duties

Characteristics and Requirements

·         Experience within a warehousing facility is essential, preferably with experience in a food packaging environment

·         Conscientious and have experience of checking products to ensure they meet quality standards

·         Experience of working as part of a team and a flexible approach to work is essential, including the ability to work different working hours in-line with business needs

·         Sound verbal and numerical skills are required for this position

·         Good communication skills are essential

·         Knowledge of 5s 

·         Good PC skills
In addition to the main role, any employee is expected to be flexible with regards to other tasks that may be delegated from time to time.  It is expected that any employee will conform to any reasonable management request.
