Welshpool dances into 2021

Many may not be open, but Welshpool’s businesses have pulled together to put a smile on our faces as we tackle an uncertain 2021.

Strict Welsh rules sent Welshpool town centre into lockdown before Christmas, but Chris Birdsell-Jones, who spearheaded the famous Fire Tones Christmas No. 1 bid a couple of years back, decided to take positive action.

Chris is the General Manager of The Royal Oak and called on his fellow town centre businesses, and colleagues at the fire station, to film dance clips to remake a video for the hit, Gonna Make you Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) by C+C Music Factory.

“It’s all to try and put a smile on people’s faces and hopefully send a message that we are still here and will be when the pandemic ends,” said Chris.
