New man in NFU hotseat

Steve Kenyon, has been appointed as the new NFU Cymru Group Secretary at the Welshpool office.Steve Kenyon
Steve, who lives in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant with his wife Carla, was bought up on a small holding on the Powys-Shropshire borders, near Oswestry. Before taking on his new position with NFU Cymru, Mr Kenyon worked as an Area Manager for a national retailer.

Speaking on his appointment Steve said, “I am delighted to be appointed as the Group Secretary here in Welshpool and I am looking forward to building up relationships with all our current customers as well as meeting new ones at every opportunity.

“Obviously my first priority is to get out and about and meet as many of our farming members as I can. Farming is crucial to this area and I look forward to helping and assisting NFU Cymru members with the diverse issues they face.”

Welcoming Steve to the team, Gwen Davies, Business Development Manager for NFU Cymru said, “I’d like to welcome Steve to the most respected agricultural lobbying organisation in the country, he has both the enthusiasm and the drive to service our members and businesses here in north Powys.”
