Firm signs multi-million pound deal

Welshpool-based variable speed drives manufacturer, Invertek Drives, has secured contracts with two major international automation companies to supply a full range of its products.

The company says the contracts are worth £6million per year to Invertek and could to grow significantly over the coming years. Invertek’s continued success is great news for Welshpool where it employs more than 130 people at its headquarters on Offa’s Dyke Business Park, Welshpool.

Sales and Marketing Director, Rhydian Welson, said: “Investments in manufacturing, innovation and customer support facilities, together with commitment to product development and international marketing support, have been key factors in growing our global brand. The recent contract wins are evidence that our strategic approach to export sales is working. Its state of the art manufacturing facilities will continue to expand rapidly to support the company’s ongoing growth - the latest major facilities development is already at an advance stage of planning and will create increased employment opportunities in the region on completion.
