It’s a basic piece of advice today but Great Fitness tell us that one of the key ways to get in shape is to find a work out partner!

Personal trainer Charlie Proctor explains why: “Surprisingly it’s a massive boost to certain people. There are people out there who are very motivated as it is and that’s great, but for those of you who need a little extra help, try and find a ‘gym buddy’.

“You’ll find you’ll either gain a slightly more competitive edge or you’ll just genuinely help each other in the gym in areas such as spotting each other with dumb bells or just for that final push sometimes that you couldn’t manage alone. We see it a lot with our partner personal training sessions, especially with siblings; the competitive edge is quite entertaining and leads to brilliant results.”
