Walking Monty for a cause
The Macmillan Mile Walk on will start out from the Town Hall at 6.30pm (register from 6pm). The committee and community have been doing this annual walk for some years to raise money for Macmillan services, including Macmillan Cancer Support and Macmillan Nurses, as part of a national walking event.
The route of around one mile will be from the Town Hall, down Arthur's Street, along Chirbury Road, along the public footpath through Lymore Park and back to the Town Hall, where refreshments including tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided by committee members.
Everyone is welcome to join in, be sponsored or sponsor one of the walkers, but a responsible adult must accompany children under 16.
Sponsor forms are available from Bunners or committee members. An entry donation of £2.50 is requested and walkers can register on the night.
