Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust is celebrating spring at their Family Fun Day at Severn Farm Pond Nature Reserve in Welshpool on May 31.

The half term event starts at 11am and there will be a variety of free Wild Art activities and trails for people of all ages to enjoy.

“We will be launching a new MWT Art Oasis project – a two-year project funded by Arwain that will bring local artists and local young people together to create new and inspiring works and installations that will challenge the way we see the natural world,” said a MWT spokesperson.

“If you have an interest in helping to develop the project as an artist, a volunteer, a group or an individual, please get in touch for a chat!”

Next week, Caroline Lowe, local willow artist, will demonstrate how to make crazy creatures and garden ornaments from locally sourced willow.

Friends of Severn Farm Pond group will be providing tasty refreshments for donations that will help develop more facilities for people and better habitats for wildlife at this popular community reserve.
